Gen Z Spotlighted in Newest Installments of Nacha Campaign Highlighting Direct Deposit and Direct Payment

From ease and convenience to safety and reliability, the benefits of both Direct Payment and Direct Deposit to members of Generation Z are highlighted in the latest installments of a campaign from Nacha.

Featured on DirectDeposit.org and DirectPayment.org, the stories spotlight five Gen Zers for the ways they use Direct Deposit and Direct Payment—both powered by the modern ACH Network—to simplify their lives. The individuals in the campaign include:

  • Richard, 24, who spends 60-80 hours weekly running his landscaping business and depends on Direct Payment to ensure his rent is paid. “I don’t even have to think about it. It just simplifies my life,” he said.

  • Laura, 29, whose busy life includes a job managing highly technical projects, while also pursuing a master’s degree in engineering and computer science. “I always appreciate things that help me stay on top of my responsibilities,” she said. “Direct Deposit is one of those tools that keeps me on track.”

  • Journée, a 26-year-old who shared how a college refund she securely received by Direct Deposit while traveling abroad allowed her to focus on the sights around her, rather than worrying about her money.

“These are real young people living active, busy lives. They don’t have time to take paper checks to the bank to deposit, or mail checks to pay bills,” said Jane Larimer, Nacha President and CEO. “The genuineness of these stories really helps to bring home the point that Direct Deposit and Direct Payment are vital to the way Gen Z lives.”

Nacha’s research has shown that American consumers make an average of $2,928 in Direct Payments every month. To learn more, visit DirectPayment.org. Direct Deposit is the way 93% of the nation’s workers receive their wages, and you can find out more at DirectDeposit.org.
